Thaddeus - Warsaw, 11th April 2001

I used to meet Thaddeus very often on the Grottger Street but always from a distance, never face to face. He gave an impression of being an introvert, who is afraid to speak, as if he belonged to some sort of a mysterious circle, where the entrance for ‘a man in the street’ is forbidden.
Once upon a time, Tadeusz was an architect but now leads another life. I often saw him carrying plastic bags, overfilled with newspapers, cultural magazines, brochures and invitations to various events. I never knew from where or from whom he got it all. “I deliver these things to different places and sometimes I hand them out.”- explained Thaddeus. He always turned up out of the sudden and then suddenly disappeared. (…)
